5. KaterHolzig: Berlin’s Circus
Berlin seems to be brimming with adult playgrounds, and KaterHolzig is no exception. Perched right along the river spree in a building that formerly functioned as a soap factory, it's unequivocally a riverside techno carnival club consisting of beach-shack style bars, dance floors, a cabaret tent with reliably eccentric art-house performances, and more. With widely talented ringmasters performing DJ sets, you’re at high risk of dancing your toes off amongst other circus fiends in this street-art, trademarked, post-industrial club. In the winter months, there’s also a Spree-side bar and lounge area, equipped with a bonfire for frosty nights.
