Waldo, Where's Waldo
When you think of Waldo you probably don’t think, “now there’s a dapper guy.” You probably think something more like, “I wish he would take off that stupid hat.” But the truth is, Waldo had the nautical look down pat before J.Crew ever put stripes on a t-shirt.
Maybe Waldo’s relentless elusiveness can be blamed for him being overlooked as one of literature’s greatest style-icons, but I think it’s time we all thank this sneaky red-capped man for introducing us to clean, crisp look of a horizontally striped shirt.
