What has your experience of being a woman in the kitchen been? Is it something you notice, do you think the kitchen is becoming more of a gender-balanced place?
We all do it, it’s human nature. I have felt discrimination. But to say it was because I'm a woman would be unfair. Kitchens are still dominated by men, and there are many reasons for that which aren’t discriminatory. It’s great to have women in the kitchen, but at the end of the day it’s just great to have passionate, hardworking, talented people that encourage and inspire our industry.
