Sad news today for fans of overpriced crates and flower beards - Blake Lively's faux-country lifestyle site, Preserve, is no more. The Gwyneth of the Millennial generation just couldn't quite get her Goop on, but assures us she'll be back.
Revealing the news today in an interview with Vogue, Lively explained just what went wrong: "We have an incredible team of people who do beautiful work, but we launched the site before it was ready, and it never caught up to its original mission: It’s not making a difference in people’s lives, whether superficially or in a meaningful way." But don't worry you guys, she has a plan. "I’m going to take this hit, and the only way I can prove all the negative reactions wrong is to come back with a plan that will rock people. And I have that plan. And I’m so excited about it." Phew.
While the site was originally set to go dark on October 9th, it seems to have already vanished off the interwebz, despite the epic sale we were promised. So it goes...
Update: The site is back up (for now!) so stock up on baby socks and $130 decorative pillows!
