After news broke of Kim Kardashian's horrible experience in Paris late last night, the Twittersphere has, of course, tried to make light of it. Sure, Kim has an outspoken anti-fan base, but this certainly wasn't the time for jokes. Chrissy Teigen, a celebrity well-versed in social media backlash, has come to her friend's defense, kicking back at Twitter trolls who apparently have no hearts.
"Some shit just isn't funny. I see you trying, but it isn't," she Tweeted. In a series, she also went on to point out a disturbing notion about celebrity culture in 2016: "Fame is interesting. Celebs are supposed to love you guys while also knowing you'd make a meme of our dead bodies to get retweets."
TV host James Corden also chimed in, saying "People making jokes about @KimKardashian tonight would do well to remember that she's a mother, a daughter, a wife, a friend. Be nice or shut up."
Seriously people, whatever happened to human decency?
