It's time to reflect on the best Netflix promotion of 2016: Free pizza from Justin Timberlake.
How would you react if a pizza from JT showed up at your door? For some lucky fans, this dream became a reality last week. They immediately turned to their social media accounts (naturally) because we all know how it goes: pics or it didn't happen.
To celebrate the release of Justin Timberlake and the Tennessee Kids on Netflix last Wednesday, Justin encouraged his fans on Twitter to share their favorite memories from his 20/20 tour so they could #TimberlakeAndChill with a free pizza from the pop-star himself. We've never seen a hashtag (or a pizza) so beautiful.
Timberlake's 56.8 million followers took to the Twitter machine to share their favorite concert memories, but only a small bunch of people were contacted over direct message (not by Justin, unfortunately) to get an address to their local pizza joint.
JT's selected fan club includes Ginette Slaughter, A.J. Kirsch, Jacey Lamboley and more. How did they do it, you ask? Answer: They're devout JT fans. We're talking "Justin Timberlake enthusiast" in the Twitter bio and a Netflix and chill sesh with a JT cardboard cutout. Still wondering why you didn't get a pizza?
Justin posted a collage on Twitter with images of fans with their pizza and handwritten note of encouragement to post on social media - as if they weren't planning on it already.
Moral of the story? Dreams do come true and social media bribery is 100% effective.
