Oh LiLo, where do I begin?
Lindsay Lohan blasted onto the scene with Disney's beloved remake of the
Parent Trap, and received double the attention for playing both twins in the film. But it wasn't until
Freaky Friday and
Mean Girls that Lindsay was able to achieve true teen superstardom. She had to first beat out
Hilary Duff for the title.
It's still sort of difficult to pinpoint exactly where things started going downhill. But the extraordinary fame and media attention that
Mean Girls brought Lohan resulted in her living in a glass fishbowl--constantly being stalked and criticized.
Following a messy breakup with
Wilder Valderrama, health issues began plaguing the former Disney princess. Then, of course, there was her very unexpected romance with
DJ Samantha Ronson that was riddled with
drama, bad publicity, and homophobic criticism. That pretty much ended her royal reign, given the day Disney creates a lesbian princess will be the day Hell freezes over and we all ice skate on it.
It's been a long road of never-ending legal troubles, substance abuse, romance tribulations, and unnecessary plastic surgery operations. But with a legitimate upcoming guest appearance on
Glee, the five-year-long Linsanity era may FINALLY be coming to an end. LiLo will definitely go down in history as the angel who fell the farthest.
