Say what you will about Kim Kardashian, but in an age of hashtag infamy and lucrative follower counts, no one plays the game better. Literally - the Kim Kardashian game has garnered the bootylicious public figure about $45 million according to her new Forbes cover story. That's a lot for a pop culture icon who hasn't really...well...done anything.
Sure she comes from a Hollywood-based family and is married to the most important rapper of our time, but even if Kim's dad didn't get O.J. Simpson off of some pretty obvious murder charges, the media mogul would likely still be doing BIG things - pun not necessarily intended.
An argument could be made that the entire Kardashian Klan is only "famous" because of Kim's notorious sex tape with Ray J, but, almost a decade after its release, who's the one making millions and who's the one who barely reaches the C List? Call it our unique brand of feminism, but Kim turned a potentially career-ruining (not to mention life-ruining) incident into her own launching pad. More power to her. And as she so aptly put it to her haters on Twitter, if you say she has no talent, YOU "try balancing a champagne glass on your ass." Word, Kim. Word.
