Elle Macpherson found herself modelling when she took a year off to save money for law school. After appearing in a soda commercial for Tab, Elle was known as the "Australian Girl Next Door." After her famed spread in an 1980s edition of Sports Illustrated, she lost the girl next door title and was coined as "The Body."
