Kate's career took off first in films like
Random Hearts and
Brokeback Mountain, but she was quickly joined by younger sister
Rooney, with their joint performance in
Urban Legend: Bloody Mary. Rooney's career skyrocketed when she played Zuckerberg's girlfriend in
The Social Network and Lisbeth Salander in
The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. Today, the Mara girls will also be celebrating their older brother, Daniel, and younger brother, Conor, who are continuing the family football history. The Mara family owns the New York Giants and the Pittsburgh Steelers. The actresses are also the great-granddaughters of the Giants' founders, Tim Mara and Steeler's founder, Art Rooney.
