In stark contrast to the sexy, glitzy runway of the Victoria's Secret show in London, yesterday's Chanel Métiers d'Art experience was a Lederhosen-filled celebration of Salzburg and rococo grandeur. But that doesn't mean it wasn't glamorous—we're talking Chanel, after all. Hosted within the breathtaking Austrian palace, Schloss Leopoldskron, the show took Sound of Music-chic to an unexpectedly effortless level. Knits, embroidery, and lace-up boots seemed to be the pre-fall uniform and with temperatures quickly dropping here in the States, we can't wait to rock these Karl-approved trends. Three shows took place throughout the day so guests including Lily Allen, Rooney Mara, and Caroline de Maigret could all catch a glimpse of the new collection - while snacking from stacked banquet spreads and sipping on champagne, of course. Cara Delevingne and Kendall Jenner held hands in complementary black and white frocks as the show's signature brides, though Cara also made a round with Karl Lagerfeld, taking bites of a half-eaten pretzel as she strutted. You couldn't do that at Victoria's Secret, now could you Cara?
Who was there: Guests included Karl Lagerfeld, Rooney Mara, Lily Allen, Caroline de Maigret, Alice Dellal, Caroline Sieber, Anne Berest, Hudson Kroenig, Geraldine Chaplin, Fiona Swarovski, Victoria Swarovski, Marina Swarovski, Cleo von Adelsheim, Hannah Herzsprung, and Nina Hoss.
