Chanel Autumn/Winter 2010, Paris
Karl Lagerfeld transformed all 57,000 square feet of Paris' Palais Royal into a winter wonderland for Chanel's Autumn/Winter 2010 show. In order to bring the North Pole to Paris, Lagerfeld hired 30 ice sculptors who, over 6 days, transformed 240 tons of ice into a 28-foot-tall artificial iceberg. The entire building was kept at freezing temperatures so the sculpture wouldn't melt. The theme of the show, of course, was Global Cooling. The show wasn't exactly Karl's most eco-friendly move, but he made sure to only use faux fur on his models as to not upset PETA. Check out a video of the finale below. [Photo via]
