Maybe I'm a bit bias when it comes to books that have to do with the fashion greats, but this is more than a book about the luxury markets, fashion designers, and Diana Vreeland's job. While aspects of those things are all tied into this book, incredible stories are also in the background of D.V., where the reader has to wonder if it's possible for every story to even be true, due to how fabulous they are. But Diana Vreeland's life and her incredible adventures over the course of it, the sayings she coins, and her strong-headed opinions on specific subjects, makes this a must read. From 1906 Paris to the height of the fashion industry, her biography will make great beach reading - and re-reading.
