Pittsburgh is far, far away from the Hamptons (and we don't just mean geographically). This book though, The Mysteries of Pittsburgh, about the former steel town, takes place in the summer time and is full of vacation references and warm weather activities. The real reason we implore you to get your hands on it as soon as possible is because of the release of the movie version of the novel.
While we have yet to see Sienna Miller and Peter Sarsgaard's cinematic rendition, we are not too happy to hear they butchered the story-line by cutting out major parts and combining characters. So we would advise you sit yourself down with The Mysteries of Pittsburgh before you ever even think about laying eyes on the movie. We think the critics would agree with us as well. As would their poor reviews.
