Go Set a Watchman
Harper Lee's new novel takes place two decades after To Kill a Mockingbird. Twenty-six-year-old Jean Louise Finch, also known as "Scout," returns home to Maycomb, Alabama from New York City to visit her father, Atticus. The story is set in the American South which is wrought with civil rights issues and political turmoil. However, being back isn't everything Scout expected. She learns dark secrets about her family, her town, and the people closest to her. The story captures the painful and necessary transition of the South and its people during this period.
