Gail Rothwell To Offer New Luxury Brand In Her East Hampton Shop

by Sam Bobley · June 22, 2012

Cabe is a new luxury clothing line that will be carried exclusively by Gail Rothwell in East Hampton this summer. The concept for the line was created by veteran designer Kathy Rego, who has previously worked at Urban Outfitters, Anthropologie, and Free People.

Gail Rothwell is a high end retailer in East Hampton, who opened up her namesake shop after working far too many years in the corporate world. This boutique is one of the few places in the Hamptons where you can find exclusive labels such as Celine, Balenciaga, Dries Van Noten, Lanvin, Marni, Oscar De La Renta, Jason Wu, Rick Owens and Isabel Marant.

In 2010, Rego also left the corporate world to pursue launching her own line. She noticed a hole in the market for expertly tailored, quality garments that flatter the wearer, and decided to fill the niche with Cabe.

Cabe, which was named after Rego's grandmother Kathryn McCabe, consists of a core collection of pant silhouettes to compliment an assortment of jackets, dresses, tops, and skirts. Rego specializes in English tailoring and fitting, a skill she learned from her grandmother, and utilized this to create a classic, sophisticated collection that fits the body beautifully.

Kathy Rego's line will focus on quality styles which are updated with modern and unexpected details. According to Kathy, women who wear her pieces will be left looking "elegantly memorable." Be sure to get your Cabe fix this summer before the brand's first complete collection launches this fall.
