Though we certainly aren't looking for another reason to wait in notorious Hamptons traffic, Tuesday may provoke one just the same. Whole Foods Market plans to open the first Whole Foods FARM Stand this week in Wainscott, East Hampton -- just in time for Memorial Day weekend.
The market, located at what was formally the Plitt Ford dealership, will stock local seasonal food, in addition to meat, seafood and baked goods. According to a statement released by the company the FARM Stand will be an "ideal spot for grabbing the morning coffee, [and] picking up snacks for the beach." We can only hope that the traffic is just as ideal -- we aren't betting on it.
The market is located at 368 Montauk Highway in Wainscott and will be open Monday - Wednesday 8 AM till 8 PM, Thursday through Saturday 8 AM till 9 PM and Sunday 8 AM till 6 PM.
