ACRIA's Cocktails At Sunset, Plus An Intimate Dinner Hosted By Ross Bleckner

The only thing more pleasant than sipping a cocktail is doing so during sunset, and for a cause as good as ACRIA, The AIDS Community Research Initiative of America. It was a fair evening for an event of this caliber, and with notable names from both the fashion and the art scene, each and every guest was impeccably dressed.

Held for the first year at artist Ross Bleckner's Sagaponack home, a cocktail reception was held for 250 attendees who included Stefano Tonchi, Ross Bleckner, Robert Burke, Meredith Melling Burke, R. Couri Hay, Peggy Siegal, Malcom Carfrae, Kelly Klien, Karla Martinex, Julie Macklowe, George Kloasa, Francisco Costa, Graziano de Boni, David Maupin, Daniel Benedict, DJ Paul Sevigny, Casey Fremont, Brendan Monaghan, Bob Colacello, April Gornik, Christian Langbein and Gabby Karan De Felice. Refreshing drinks were provided by Belvedere Vodka and champagne by Veuve Cliquot.

Similar to last years event, a silent auction of fine art to benefit the organization was held, and DJ Paul Sevigny was on hand to provoke dancing and even more drinking. Top donors received a limited edition Ross Bleckner print in addition to their special gift bag.

This year however, Ross invited a select 75 guests into his home studio for an intimate meal of grilled nectarine, edamame and mizuna salad, a basil reduction and lemon-zest risotto and baby lamb chops with multicolor heirloom carrots. The stark white room was punctuated by spheres of purple hydrangeas adorning each table, a nice accent to each cross-table conversation.
