Donna Karan, Christie Brinkley HEAT Up The Hamptons

Bright and early Sunday morning, the Ellen Hermanson Foundation held the 15th Annual Ellen's Run. For those not quite in shape enough with prior obligations that morning, Donna Karan, Steven Klein, and Hope Klein Langer hosted a Saturday evening cocktail hour to support the cause.

Benefiting the Southampton Hospital Breast Center, Saturday's event gathered a handful of Hamptons elite as well as friends of the hospital and supporters of the cause for evening cocktails at the sprawling Bridgehampton residence of photographer Steven Klein. In what we're still not sure was a planned move or a minor faux-pas, event chair Christie Brinkley and honoree Donna Karan showed up in what appears to be the exact same dress. Just draped in an ever-so-slightly different fashion.  Yeah, we're still trying to figure out how exactly that works...but that being said, both looked stunning anyway gracing the grounds of the Klein estate.

Guests, including one of this summer's charity staples, Russell Simmons, enjoyed cocktails and O.N.E Coconut Water while the sun set on one of the last Saturdays of summer.  Upon receiving the Hospital's honor, Donna Karan gave a very touching and very real speech, highlighting the effect breast cancer has had on just about everyone; whether through a friend, family member, or personal experience, we can all relate to the devastation of the disease. Founded in 1997, The Ellen Hermanson Foundation aims to educate and aid with the disease, working hand in hand with the Breast Center, and honoring the memory of Ellen and the work to which she devoted so much of her time and energy.
