It's Time To Show These Easterners How Beer Drinking Is Really Done

by Stanely Stuyvesant · August 8, 2008

beerI never thought I'd be saying this, but I'm getting a bit sick of Rosé. (*Gasp!)  It must be that corn-fed Midwesterner in me that starts screaming for my summers back at home.  Lakes, grill outs, and....BEER.  I've never claimed to be a culinary expert, or any kind of wine connoisseur, but; living in NYC I have been exposed to a much more, how do I put this..."sophisticated" food and drink choices than I had available in Nebraska.  However, as much as I'd like to hate to admit this, sometimes I just want an ice cold beer.  And a hotdog.  And Cool Ranch Doritos.  And maybe some baked beans and corn on the cob on the side. Ah the finer things in life.

How exciting to find out that not everyone on the east end is a wine snob.  This weekend, over at Martha Clara's Vineyards, they are mixing things up and hosting the Craft Beer Festival.

Go HERE for all the info, including tickets, directions, parking, food, etc.  And meet us there this Saturday as I attempt to show all these refined Easterners how beer drinking is really done.
