Contrary to popular belief, Lauren Santo Domingo has yet to totally save Venice. Not that she hasn't planned / partied her hardest to do so!

After all, Save Venice really is much more than a party - it's a process. One that as of this year has been going on for half a century!

So, how does one better New York's decidedly most glamorous society soirée to commemorate such a momentous milestone? Well, why throw one party when you can throw 50?

Throughout 2021 and 2022, generous patrons of Save Venice in 32 cities across 7 countries will be hosting 50 chic, Venetian-inspired celebrations to raise funds for the non-profit's most recent mission to restore the Basilica of Santa Maria Assunta on the island of Torcello and the Italian Synagogue “Scuola Italiana” in the Jewish Ghetto of Venice.

Which brings us to a sunset cruise on a yacht just off of Sag Harbor...

On July 24th, Mercedes de Guardiola hosted an intimate group for a starlit dinner aboard the iconic Dutch shipyard Feadship, Highlander - a brilliant nod to Venice's beloved canals. Following cocktails, guests including Timo Weiland, Bryan Ludwig, Lizzie Asher and more were seated at beautifully dressed tables lined with potted herbs and peppered with sea coral trimmings.
