When out East, any moment not spent at the beach is time certainly wasted.
This past Thursday evening, Stephanie Nass - chef, hostess and culinary creator of the cult favorite brand Chefanie - hosted a most magical dinner à la plage to welcome Leatherology Co-Founder David Liu to the Hamptons.
Sophie Elgort, Casey Fremont, Christy Doramus, Violet Gaynor and more sauntered onto the sand in their chicest beach evening attire to enjoy a round of Nass's special sangria, delightful hors d'oeuvres, and the ultimate treat - a personalization station where guests were invited to customize their own Harwood Weekender.
As the sun set, the pièce-de-résistance of the evening was revealed, a kaleidoscope of seafood and rice cooked beachside in a giant 4-foot paella pan. Guests served themselves family style before sitting down to a stunning table stretched down Georgica Beach laid with menus hand-painted by Nass, shell-folded napkins and personalized Leatherology luggage tag place cards.
Perhaps the hostess's best party trick of the night, dinner was followed by a dessert course of cookies a la plancha served in mini cast iron skillets cooked just feet away over the bonfire.
