This past weekend, fashion designer Minnie Mortimer (and former sister-in-law to Tinsley Mortimer) hosted a shopping event at Scoop East Hampton. Minnie mingled with customers as they shopped her new summer collection.
The summer collection reflects Minnie's attraction to the blending of vintage Palm Beach and Southampton with a dash of her classic preppy style. The event caught the attention of the young, fabulously beachy elite of East Hampton. The store was a whirlwind of sun-kissed tans, nautical stripes and woven wedges as girls hit the racks to get a peek at Minnie's new collection.
Minnie has always designed for the type of girl she is. If she wants to wear it, she will make it; that's how her collection evolves. Her aesthetic was evident in the "Minnie-Me"s seen browsing through her designs.
Minnie Mortimer is known to bring in The Best of The Best Dressed List to her past events, but this gave her the perfect opportunity to get to know her real customers.
