The Upcoming Great Chefs Dinner In Bridgehampton

by SAMANTHA KANTOR · August 5, 2010

The Hamptons may get some flak for never quite living up to NYC's culinary options, but this Sunday, all that is about to change. The 2010 Great Chefs Dinner is hosting some of the world's greatest chefs, ready to raise the Hamptons' culinary reputation...at least for one day.

With names like Eric Ripert and Tom Colicchio, it's got to be good. Big names from Manhattan and Long Island will be in attendance, including: Gerry Hayden & Claudia Fleming (North Fork Table & Inn), Cheryl Stair (Art of Eating), Sam Talbot (Mondrain, Surf Lodge, Top Chef), Kevin Penner (1770 House), Bryan Futerman (Foody’s), Jason Weiner (Almond), Tom Schaudel (A Mano), Christian Mir (Stone Creek Inn), Joseph Realmuto (Nick & Toni’s), Keith Luce (Hawkins and Luce), Steven Lewis (First Street Restaurant), Vittorio Assaf (Serafina East Hampton), Matt Michel (Rolling in Dough Pizza Truck) and Joe Watson (Vine Wine Bar). There will also be a silent auction at the event featuring the work of locals artists.

Though dinner tickets have already sold out, you can still get your hands on access to the pre-dinner cocktail party; for only $150 you can enjoy hors d'oeuvres and specialty cocktails prepared by the amazing chef list, as well as mingle with the many VIPs in attendance.  All ticket sales benefit Hayground School’s Jeff’s Kitchen and the Jeff Salaway Scholarship Fund.
