The food bloggers of D.C. got together last night to do what they do best; eat! Hosted at TenPenh, over fifty of the District's food bloggers met for an evening of friends, food, and fun at this month's DC Food Blogger Happy Hour.
The monthly gathering brings together D.C.'s finest writers to meet and mingle at various restaurants around the city. Last night's event filled the back area and bar with bloggers at TenPenh and featured extended happy hour drink and food menus for the group.
TenPenh's specialty cocktail drinks were offered to guests for $5 and were shaken and stirred by award winning bartender and mixologist, Brennan Adams. In 2009, Adams won the D.C. section of GQ Magazine and Bombay Sapphire's "Inspired Bartender" contest. The food offered featured Asian specialties from TenPenh's small plate menu.
Organized by a planning committee full of food bloggers, the DC Food Blogger Happy Hour is a great way to mingle with fellow writers and enjoy DC's finest dining with fellow food connoisseurs. Next month's gathering will be held at Poste and, as always, on the first Wednesday of the month.
