Jon Bon Jovi, Matt Serra (UFC), Michael Gelman, Nacho Figueras, Ralph Macchio, Russell Simmons, Tony Hawk, Verne Troyer, and Wanderlei Silva all made it over to the Ross School to support skateboarding legend Tony Hawk's launch of his inaugural Activision Presents Stand Up for Skatepark's Benefit. It was the first time in the organizations five-year history, to be located on the east coast.
The day included an intimate Vert skateboarding and BMX demonstration where Tony Hawk and other top skate and BMX pros performed on Tony’s personal vert ramp. Additional activities included an interactive action-sports carnival featuring unique activities and giveaways, as well as food and drinks for the entire family.

Guests received incredible giveaways and had the opportunity to enter a national sweepstakes to win the ultimate prize package: a trip for two to Los Angeles to hang with Tony, attend the Stand Up for Skateparks Benefit in LA, a new 2009 Jeep® Wrangler, and several other prizes!
All Proceeds from the day benefited the Tony Hawk Foundation, which seeks to foster lasting improvements in society with an emphasis on supporting and empowering youth. Through special events, grants, and technical assistance, the Foundation supports recreational programs with a focus on the creation of public skateboard parks in low-income communities. The Foundation favors programs that clearly demonstrate that funds received will produce tangible, ongoing, positive results.
