Not only because Rugby embodies the quintessential look of the Hamptons, but we've also spotted countless amounts of their signature skull and cross bones stitched logos on trousers, polos, shorts, and suspenders on prep-savvy Hamptonites all over the East End. Their Hamptons location is hosting a shopping event this Saturday to benefit the amazing NEST organization, a non profit that empowers women artists and artisans around the world by helping them create sustainable businesses... The shopping event kicks off at 6pm with cocktails and snacks while party-goers browse the Nest line and Rugby's latest collection shopping for a cause with 10% of the proceeds benefiting the organization.

NEST uses a unique combination of microfinance loans along with mentoring from established designers while offering a market for the artists to sell their work. GofG had a chance to chat with NEST Executive Director and founder Rebecca Kousky who explained that the use of these micro-loans "gives the women we help a way to escape poverty while keeping them vested in the project." The money raised has been successfully helping women create small businesses in nine countries in just three years which Rebecca explained as her proudest moment for the organization. So what's next for NEST, besides this weekend's fabulous summer shopping event, of course? The organization who partners with domestic designers as well as carrying a NEST line of their own will be expanding their wholesale sales at Whole Foods and more. Can't wait until Saturday to shop for a cause? You can browse through tons of exclusive pieces by artists helping artists on the Nest website.
