Want to combine some beautiful nature and politics this weekend? The White House gardens and grounds will be open to the public from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday. What's the catch? Waking up at 7:30 a.m. on either day to secure your free ticket. The tickets will be on a first-come first-serve basis at the Ellipse Visitor Pavilion (15th and E streets NW). Don’t get the idea to go and hoard multiple tickets – they’ll only give one-ticket per person, and each ticket will have a time stamp with the time of your tour.
If you’re interested in more White House shenanigans, East Wing and Executive Residence tours will resume for the public starting Nov. 5th. But these tickets won’t be as easy to come by. You’ll have to persuade your member of Congress to help you swindle your way in there.
Unable to make the garden tours this weekend (read: had a wild night and couldn't get up for 7:30am)? The White House will offer an Instagram photographic tour on Sunday, October 27th. Make sure to follow @WhiteHouse and @MichelleObama for the "InstaMeet".
