Customs House, Sag Harbor.
While still in Sag Harbor, make sure to stop by the Customs House – conveniently found adjacent to the Whaling Museum. An adorable house built in 1765 and located at the end of Main Street, this national historic landmark was once home to New York States first customs officer, Henry Packer Dering – appointed by President George Washington himself! Tours are held daily during the summer.
