By the 1960's, bikini lines inched lower and lower as the swim wear became more and more socially accepted. First, Ursula Andress wowed audiences as she rose from the beach in her white bikini as one of Sean Connery's Bond Girls in the movie Dr. No in 1962. Shortly after, Sports Illustrated featured their very first cover with a bikini in 1964. 1960 Bikinis In 1969, Raquel Welch barely spoke a sentence in the hit film One Million Years B.C. in 1969 but her performance will never be forgotten due to her amazing bikini costume. By the end of the decade, bikinis had become a part of society as  women across the globe started embracing the trend.
