Hamptons Magazine Shows Us How The Pros Throw A Clambake

Hamptons Magazine hosted their annual clambake on Sunday at the Montauk Yacht Club, and with Lamborghinis, an oxygen bar, and more food and drink options than guests could possibly know what to do with, we left the party thinking now THAT is how you throw a clambake.

In defense of the little people reading this and feeling sorry for their beachside BBQs that just can't compare, we must point out that it obviously helps to be a big media conglomerate when throwing a party. Sponsors at this year's harbor-side soiree included Allen Brother Steak for a BBQ station, an AvantAir oxygen bar, Chicos accessories and oyster bar, Dos Equis for cold beers, La Marca Prosecco, William Hill wine, Russian Standard Vodka, Tequila Avion, Xante cocktails (plus shirtless man playing croquet), Friends Around interactive lounge, and Manhattan Motorcars showcasing the new Lamborghini. See what we mean: SO. MUCH. LIQUOR. But that's only one component in the mix - here's what made this clambake the best of the best...

As already mentioned: booze. And lots of it.

Food of every variety...seafood, steak, coconuts filled with drinks (that kind of counts as food, right?). In case the boozing gets a little heavy.

An oxygen bar...for when the boozing gets more than a little heavy and guests could use a little extra help breathing.

Oysters. Aphrodisiacs are everyone's friend.

A dance floor, preferably of the grassy nature. Encourages more daring dance moves.

Games. Especially outdoor must-be-played-in-the-grass games. Bonus points when incorporating shirtless individuals.

The right venue. A yacht club? In the traditionally low-key (except on Saturday nights) Montauk? Perfect.

And of course, you can have all the right ingredients, but without some great guests to top it off, you haven't yet created a successful party. Take note of the names below, because this crowd best be on your guest list.
