Party Planning
Finally, it all comes down to the most important part – planning the actual party. Where will you host it? What will the theme be? And what elements will make your party unique?
Pick your venue.
If you decide to hit the pool, get some coolers and floats to cool off. If you head to the beach, you and your guests can relax and tan or play a giant game of frisbee. Or, you could just stick to the basics - host the party in your backyard for a classic 4th of July cookout.
Create a playlist.
Put together the perfect patriotic playlist. Include classic hits like Summer of '69, Born in the USA, or fun jams like Party and Bullshit in the USA or Made in America. For more patriotic song ideas, check out this playlist for inspiration.
Choose a theme.
Go all out and throw a costume party - dress like Uncle Sam, Abe Lincoln, or an American flag. Throw a luau, complete with leis and tikis and fitting for summer. Or, if you stick to the classic 4th of July theme, decorate with stars and stripes everything.
Send out invites.
Finally, design your ideal invitation. Whether it's an evite, through the mail, or on Facebook, disclose just enough details to keep your guests guessing.
Whether you utilize all of these party ideas or just choose a few, you're ready to throw the ultimate 4th of July bash.
