On the first day of Christmas...
'Tis the season for holiday pop-ups, and this year, The Standard, East Village is going full glitz and glam.
While every restaurant in New York continues the post-pandemic full-steam-ahead endorsement of outdoor dining... in the winter, we salute this downtown staple for moving the party indoors - you know, where everyone actually wants to be when it's cold - as they replace their usual Winter Garden yurts with Partridge, a festive '70s inspired pop-up restaurant located in the old Narcissa space.
The heavy handed touch of tinsel, the twinkling evergreen trees, the smell of fondue and the clinking of festive cocktails sets the scene for a most merry night out.
Snowball Colada and big bowl of Hot Crab Dip, anyone?
A most prête-à-party touch, you can even order Christmas crackers (complete with your traditional, delightfully random assortment of jokes, paper hats and a gift) and a disposable camera (because really, they're just so much better than phones and you know that but you'll never actually remember to buy one ahead of time and lug it out with you) for the table.
Should you be interested in getting even more in the spirit, be sure to check out their Disco Caroling series.
