The UK's Secret Garden Party is an independent art and music festival that was founded in 2004, and has grown in size and popularity every since. The website alone will make you want to purchase a ticket and hop a flight over seas. Fortunately for us, Freddie Fellowes (creator of the Secret Garden Party) is bringing his magic touch right here on the Shinnecock Nation land (adjacent to South Hampton). Allow us to introduce Escape 2 New York (E2NY); an art, music and interactive performance party that will take place August 5th-7th.

“Our goal is turn upside down the conventional music festival experience and recreate it in a way that makes each and every attendee walk away feeling they just had an incredibly unexpected and amazing VIP experience from the moment they entered our gates all the way through to when they pack up to return to their regular lives”, shares Escape to New York Executive Producer, Fred Fellowes.
Even down to the location, this festival is being created to be unique and special. The Shinnecock Reservation land is exceptional. The Shinnecocks have lived along these shores thousands of years, but it wasn't until October 2010 that the tribe became the 565th federally recognized. According to the website, "upon entering the reservation you are both in and escaping New York." And this heritage will be seen all around the festival with traditional Shinnecock arts & crafts and food!
Performance art, experimental theater, and of course live music are just some of the activities that will be offered. There will be high end camping ("Glamping") complete with Bell Boys, a free shuttle service to and from the festival, toilets and showers for exclusive use to Glampers, amazing culinary delights from their caterers, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, 24 hour concierge, makeovers and even massages! Covering all of their bases, the E2NY team has also established safe children play area's and shade areas to cool off in.
The Sunday Main Stage line up and the weekend’s DJ line up will be announced over the next few weeks, but they have confirmed their Friday and Saturday line-ups and they are beyond!
