Something that reminds you of your childhood or family

"I believe there's a place for every period of our lives. I feel Paris is the place for me now. We've been extremely fortunate to travel our entire lives. We left France when I was 5, I grew up in the US and in Spain. I came back to Paris when I was 16. It was time to call somewhere home. Over those years the only place that truly felt like home was our beach house in Etretat (Normandy, France) where we would spend some time every summer. Traveling as we have is priceless - the most beautiful gift my parents ever gave us - I obviously wouldn't do it any differently! Although I've chosen to settle down in Paris, and can't imagine living anywhere else than in Saint Germain-des-Près, traveling is an addictive drug I can't live without. Traveling had to be part of what I do for a living and I think we have the perfect balance." Something that reminds you of your childhood or family: "This is an imprint of my hand dated from May 1983. I've been holding on to it for a while and Lara [my fiancé ] put it in a box and keeps it on her workbench. A tangible memory of my childhood."
