Everything You Need To Know About London Fashion Week AW15

It's been years since London Fashion Week stopped being seen as the odd one out of the fashion super pack that also includes New York, Paris, and Milan, and started being given the creative respect that it deserves. London Fashion Week presents some of the most innovative, awe-inspiring designs on its catwalks season after season. The British capital is a particularly exceptional city for fashion design; in no other metropolis do history and modernity intersect quite so seamlessly. London has it all: the iconic heritage houses (Burberry, Mulberry), the mischievous revolutionaries (Vivienne Westwood, Gareth Pugh), and the shining new supernovas (Christopher Kane, Roksanda Ilincic). And that's just the tip of the iceberg.

London, more than any of the other cities, provides wonderful support for up-and-coming designers, giving students from the London College of Fashion a platform to show their creations, nurturing new design talent through non-profit initiatives like Fashion East, and providing financial assistance through schemes such as NEWGEN or the BFC/Vogue Designer Fashion Fund. When we say that all eyes will be turned to London this season, we're not exaggerating.
