The Trench Coat

Originally developed by Thomas Burberry, inventor of gabardine cloth, as an alternative to the heavy overcoats traditionally worn by the British military, the Burberry Trench Coat has now achieved icon status amongst Brits (with a little help from the notoriously damp weather). While the style of the trench has changed, often deviating form the traditional khaki colored fabric in favor of leather, or as seen on Emma Watson, studded sleeves, the style remains timeless.
