Plaid - or “tartan” as the brits call it - was historically used in Scotland to distinguish clans from each other. Now, its sweeping the fashion world and posing to become one of the top trends for fall, perhaps most evident in Chanel’s Pre-Fall 2013/2014 fashion show, which was hosted in the Scottish Linlithgow Palace. From coats to kilts, this pattern is surely here to stay.
