Keith, the former movie director, decorates his "set"
We all know that there is a great deal of work to be done to re-create a Keith McNally-style interior. Although he's more recognized for his success as a restauranteur, unbeknownst to most, Keith had a brief career as a movie director in the 1980s. He decorates his restaurants, just like he did with his sets, paying attention to each interior feature.
Amanda Hesser, a NY Times critic,
wrote favorably to the restaurant's ambiance,
"Keith McNally was right all along — a dining institution needs more than just great food."
