A Movie About Meghan Markle & Prince Harry Is Already In The Works

It was only a matter of time before an announcement was made that a movie based on the whirlwind love story of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry was on the horizon. And, of course, it's set to air on everyone's favorite tearjerker channel, Lifetime.

Exciting, sure, but we shouldn't forget that Meghan Markle has a history of her own with those cringe-worthy chick flicks. During the days of her earlier acting career, she starred in TWO Hallmark Channel movies. We're not sure which network our grandma loves more. We are sure that Taylor Townsend and DJ Tanner are hoping they'll be next in line to marry a royal so they're no longer relegated to doing Nora Ephron ripoffs via basic cable.

But we have to say (okay, I have to say because no one else seems to want to), we should never forget that a movie about an American girl becoming British royalty has already happened. Lifetime probably won't hold a candle to this masterpiece, but here's hoping they will.

I give you Amanda Bynes' magnum opus What A Girl Wants. Because I honestly don't care that much about royalty to begin with unless it's Amanda Bynes in a fictional movie or the Kardashians in real life.
