In Focus: Architecture
The Getty Center's exhibit,
In Focus: Architecture, shows how photography changes the perception of architecture.
The exhibit includes photos of iconic buildings in progress, as only partially-completed structures that have yet to achieve their recognizable form. Famous buildings no longer still standing are immortalized through photos in the collection. Also included are the photos of Peter Wegner in which he uses the outline of existing structures to form a new building with the shape of the sky in the background as its silhouette (as seen in the image above).
