I realize that once I say this I am forever a member of the old people and can never be cool again, but do you guys remember the days when rock n' roll was popular? I mean, when I was mad at my parents I knew I could start cranking Mötley Crüe or Guns n' Roses, hear Axl scream the F word a bunch of times, and feel better about myself. I don't know any 14 year olds, but I'd hazard a guess that nowadays our disaffected youth are angrily blasting dubstep, which is liable to give their poor parents an actual brain aneurysm, at which point no one will be left around to buy the little brat Playstation games. I'm not entirely sure how we got off on that tangent, but the upswing is, KISS and the Crüe came blazing through Irvine last night, and based on the turnout, I'm not the only one who misses rock.
