Fan Yourself
There's plenty of reasons to be skeptical about bringing a fan around in public, primarily because you're going to look like someone from "Downton Abbey," albeit if the Abbey was located on the Jersey Shore. But again, you need to cast that thinking aside. These are life-threatening temperatures we're dealing with, and some level of shame will have to be tolerated in exchange for comfort and safety.
