As we've observed in Parts One and Two of our Fashion's Night Out Party Roundup, there was great variation in the spectrum of events held all over L.A. in honor of the global celebration of fashion. From formal invite-only affairs featuring presentations by A-list celebs to open parking lot gatherings filled with stylish hipster-types, events were tailored to the shops and brands hosting them. As different as these FNO celebrations were, the festivities happening down the West Hollywood stretch of Melrose from Crescent Heights to La Cienega seemed to be in a category all their own. We hit the WeHo pavement to see how the people of Melrose and stores like Fred Segal and Marc Jacobs did FNO 2010.

From metallic and glittery frocks to printed T's and fedoras at Fred Segal.

Tranny fierceness.

I mean, give me one good reason not to sport fuzzy animal hats and plastic crowns.

A sleep-inducing Samuel L. Jackson lecture on his many red carpet looks? Pass. We'll take getting wasted with LMFAO's Redfoo and people who wear animal hats, thanks.

Anyone need a date? They're 50% off, so like, why not, right?

Think double-fisting beer bottles would fly at the Phillip Lim and Armani parties?  No dice, but Melrose encourages you do so.
