Lowlight: Natasha Bedingfield's Shortened Donna Summer Tribute
I don't really begrudge ABC for not knowing how to properly pay tribute to all the music icons who passed away recently; they've got a show to plan, and the whole thing can't be one giant tribute. Nevertheless, Donna Summer was an icon, especially amongst those who care the most about awards show telecasts, and so she probably deserves slightly more than having Natasha Bedingfield stumble all over the lyrics to "Last Dance" and then have the song cut out at the 1:30 mark so ABC could throw it to commercial (video here). Yeah, call me crazy, but that might be interpreted as disrespectful. And nothing for Dick Clark? That's cool. It's not like he had anything to do with pop music or anything.
