Audrey Hepburn's Personal Belongings Are Going Up For Auction

by Stephanie Maida · September 6, 2017

Calling all celebrity connoisseurs, the holy grail of classic Hollywood is going up for sale. As in, the personal collection of Holly Golightly herself - and yes, it includes a lot of Givenchy.

The massive Audrey Hepburn auction is being held by Christie's in London, and was facilitated with the help of Hepburn's sons, Luca Dotti and Sean Hepburn Ferrer. From her imitable wardrobe to original, annotated film scripts (Breakfast at Tiffany's is set to reel in over $78,000), the collection covers most of the iconic screen star's life and works, and is certainly sure to break records. Some highlights include a selection of her signature ballet flats, a cigarette lighter engraved with "For My Fair Lady," and a satin cocktail dress designed by Hubert de Givenchy. But don't expect to try that one on - Christie's apparently had trouble finding mannequins small enough to don Audrey's duds. Chic.

While the main event will be taking place across the pond on September 27th, an online auction is running from September 19th to October 3rd. If you happen to be in Los Angeles on September 13th, you can catch a viewing of the collection and even celebrate with a rooftop screening of Breakfast at Tiffany's. Please make sure to pack your own tiara.
