Company Flow
Of course, no offense intended to At The Drive-In, but if there's one Day 3 reunion that's not nearly getting the amount of love it ought to, it's hip-hop pioneers Company Flow. I must have played
Funcrusher Plus on my yellow Panasonic discman with 5-second skip protection about 100,000 times in a row until the CD basically disintegrated. While El-P and the gang ended up in a series of star-crossed incidents with the downfall of Rawkus and then the Def Jux/Def Jam lawsuit, they left an undeniable imprint on the world of underground and avant-garde hip-hop, and consistently blew my mind from about 1996 onwards. I will be as close to the stage as humanly possible for this one, possibly with something strange rolled up inside one of Snoop's "premium cigars."
