Flower crown enthusiasts everywhere have been freaking out since today's release of the 2017 Coachella lineup. Beyoncé, Radiohead, and Kendrick Lamar have taken the top spots as the big-name (literally) performers this year, along with the predictable likes of Lorde, Bon Iver, The XX, and DJ Snake. But between all the danceable techno and trip-worthy indie rock, one name stands out as truly unexpected: Hans Zimmer.
Yes, as in that Hans Zimmer. As in the dude who makes the soundtracks of your fondest blockbusters and also that show Planet Earth, a.k.a. the best thing on television to watch when you're stoned. Hm, maybe this classical German composer isn't so out of place after all.
Better even than our live Zimmer expectations are the reactions from fellow performers and the denizens of Twitter. #HANS2K17

*overheard at Coachella 2017* "I liked Hans Zimmer's old stuff like The Thin Red Line and Drop Zone, but Kung Fu Panda 2 was too mainstream"
