Slide #10
The event was hosted by funnymen Paul Sheer and Rob Huebel, who kept things moving with their sometimes hilarious commentary and video bits. The Broadcast Film Critics’ Association showed The Artist a lot of love, giving it four awards (including Best Picture and Best Director), while The Help followed behind with a grand total of three awards.
Director Michel Hazanavicius, Berenice Bejo, Jean Dujardin and Thomas Langmann

Rather mentionable was - *sniff* - Viola Davis' tear-jerking acceptance speech for her supporting role in The Help, speaking openly about the controversy the film sparked and her personal strife as a struggling actress with big dreams (we advise paramedics be on standby if she actually wins an Oscar). George Clooney reminded us yet again he ain't just a pretty face, scoring an award for his portrayal of a father pulling his family life together as his unfaithful wife winds up in a coma in The Descendants. And finally, Bob Dylan rounded out the evening with a harmonica performance.
