Slide #2
"Top Chef" fans may remember CJ Jacobson, the very tall former pro volleyball player who competed in both season 3 and season 10 and was featured on "Top Chef Masters." Following stints at some of the world's most prestigious restaurants and time in the Bravo spotlight, Jacobson has landed right here in Hollywood to bring his culinary expertise to The Mercantile. As a guest chef, Jacobson collaborated with The Mercantile team to introduce an enhanced dinner and brunch menu. Among the new dinner menu items, which we can say from first-hand experience are absolutely delicious, are the House Cured Salmon with white beans, Patty Melt with grilled onions, Macaroni & Cheese with kale, oyster mushrooms and prosciutto, and Grilled Cheese with Gruyere, Parmesan, roasted jalapeño and tomatillo jam.
To celebrate Jacobson's presence at The Mercantile and the new dinner offerings, Abou-Daoud threw an intimate gathering on Wednesday with the Chef of honor on hand serving up his delicacies and mingling with guests. Keep clicking through the slideshow to see our photos from the night and be sure to stop by The Mercantile this weekend for brunch or any evening to experience their new dinner menu.
